Title says it all really. :p

Does submitting to Directories and Article Sites guarantee a better PR?

What would be the best way to get a better PR (legally!) -- and can going up a level or two really help a site thats compeating in a saturated market? games/videos/etc

----

Also, say a site has a PR of 4 -- but its links page (the place where you get your backlink), only has PR1. What plays the biggest role, the domain PageRank, or the page that the links on?

Thanks again.

Regards

Cheers. :)

sure Directories help to get better PR.. submitting to directires is a way of building backlinks.. you should trade more and more links with other sites.. that is the best way i know..

itsall3, it merely depends on the PR page that site was placed.
to get targeted PR you can do an exchange with sites that has a high PR ;)

100% Guaranteed better PR if you submit to a few of them.

Its Page Rank not Site Rank :)

Its Page Rank not Site Rank :)

I guess the clues in the name then :p

So directories that charge for submision - always check the page that your listing will go on? I guess that means most paied directories are usless, as they usally dont have PR in the pages. :(

They may not have toolbar PR but as long as they are spidered and linked from the main pages then they will have real PR.
