hello friends
i started a new blog about 2 weeks back. And now people are liking my blog and saw increase in traffic also. I also did link exchanges with some PR7 blogs of simiar category. I have about 5 incoming links from PR5 and PR4 pages. still my PR is 0 ...... why ? ? ? please help

According to SEO Inc. we're in the middle of an update right now. Not sure how much I trust SEO Inc, but I'm sure they did their homework first before publishing this:

Also make sure that the link backs you are getting can be seen by the search engines...do a search on the board, but there are certain html tags and characters that if present in the url, can't be followed by the SE.

I've been trying to figure out how many backlinks it takes to get an increase in PR. I know it depends on the value of the links, but from what I have seen, it appears to require about 150 for each PR increment.

google is now not counting backlinks. i have read it somewhere, instead the google bot is smart enough to detect page that has unique and useful content. this will get you PR fast.

I had see a table were the show the ratio of back links you need to have to jump from PR x to PR y, I going to look for it and I will post it later on. but in the mind time get all the back links you can get

U want PR, then high quality backlink plus quality content are what u need!
