View Full Version : Link Exchange Program For Blogs?

Hello

It's pretty hard to exchange links with other blogs in my opinion. You have to add the links in your template to show up on your blog. I find it strange that there isn't a way to easily exchange links from within the system automatically so it's easy to add or exchange links.

This could be simply be done by adding a code in your template and logging in to the service and exchange links with other blogs.

Does something like this excists?

Don't know if this helps, Victor, but I've seen people use http://www.blogrolling.com/ to manage their blog links. Whether it has a facility to reciprocate or not I don't know as I haven't used it; adding a link is only a 2 minute hack in blogger so I'll continue doing it that way.

IMHO blogger linking is far more easy, organic and democratic than "traditional" link swapping. If a someone blogs stuff you like to read every day then you'll want to post a link in your favourites list, so write stuff that people will enjoy and the linking comes naturally. And don't forget that on most blogs a comment is a link...

There's some blogs out there that get some serious link-swapping going on because they're like little communities of their own :)

I'm pretty new to all this blogging stuff and I actually signed up with blogrolling.com but I don't understand a thing about how it works. I also signed up for a few other but it's not exactly what i'm looking for. They are more like bookmarks just like you say.

Anyway thanks for your answer.

If you want an actual link exchange program for blogs (as in you show links for other people's blogs, and they do the same) as opposed to personally agreeing with other bloggers to swap links, then you could try BlogSnob (www.simpleads.net) out. You add a bit of Javascript to your page and each time you show a link you get credits and your site is shown on other blogs within the network. Personally I stopped using the service a long time ago because it showed an ad for another blog that was offensive to some of my visitors but up until then it worked quite well.

BlogSnob is JavaScript and as a result will have no impact in search engine results.

However, as a result of signing up to BlogSnob, I did manage to accumilate a few PR6 links with little to no effort.

They might not count in search engine results, but if someone stumbles across your blog and thinks "oh, I like this" and bookmarks/links to it/whatever, then it's had the same effect of increasing the exposure of your site. :)

Hi Everyone,

For your info, we are in the process of completing two blog link directories / blog search engines.

They will be completely FREE to link your blogs [no strings attached].
Will be online in a couple of weeks so please check then. We are confident that this service will be popular and your support would be appreciated.

You could have at least waited until the sites were actually up and running before posting the links...

You might try wordpress, it has a links section that is easy to update...you don't have to mess with the template. Or as an alternative to link exchange you could try Blog Explosion (http://www.blogexplosion.com/index.php?ref=dirvish)

These are all easy ways to do it......but I find simply searching directories and search engines for blogs that deal with your topic or something else your interested in. Email the webmaster asking to exchange a link the worst thing that can happen is they say no but most people in the blog community are more then welcome to do so.

I was looking for the same thing, so I decided to give powerlinks.com a shot; as they automate the process, and host the actual links. They let you decide which partners you want, and which you'll "skip". I tried them out on other sites, and have never seen one site get banned for it. You can link to only theme based people, by choosing only certain categories, if you like. Powerlinks.com themselves have good serps, and I haven't heard anyone complaining. It's about $10 a month. They have a referral program as well.

Food for thought!

How do you find other bloggers that you want to link to? Is there a place where you can find people with similar interests like a personals column?

Try Quack Track (http://quacktrack.com/?referer=678)

"The world's largest browsable blog index

I am running new link exchange network.
This network has some unique features that solve this problem automatically.
This network has a search engine in a backend, so you just need to type your keywords in the search and then you are choosing pages where to place your links !!!

I have launched it just few days ago, so I do not have many sites right now.
During this first week every new member will get 20 bonus links !!!
So, sign up now!

This if you want to test the search:

Anyone got an opinion on what might be the best of the search engine friendly blog systems?

I've been experimenting for along time now and I'm still stuck on wordpress. If anyone has experience with a better system, please enlighten me!

Another thing. I'm interesting in doing exchanges with other blogs if that interests anyone.

They are all pretty much search engine friendly...

WordPress is the best blogging platform out there IMO.

I tried Blog Explosion for a while. Waste of time if your blog isn't a mommy blog or rant blog. That's what most of their members are. So when they surf onto your blog they surf right out without reading, commenting, clicking, bookmarking or anything. Turned out to be worthless traffic and a time waster. The other ideas of getting links from similar blogs, and maybe some of the other traffic exchanges with better memberships, are better uses of time IMHO.
