Pixeladd---well..thats pretty easy...there are services..like Copyscape that will tell you that. And..just my opinion...it boils down to who you do business with. If you want a writer to create exclusive content for you...well..tell him!! State what you want up front...seems pretty straightforward to me

first characteristic of quality is that the article will not be a duplicate content as returned by search engines especially Google :D

Most people here just mean Copyscape-passed when they say "unique." However, note that Copyscape-passed doesn't mean it's legal. In some places (the US for example), creating a derivative work is copyright infringement (that's what a re-write is) unless you have the copyright holder's permission. "Original" work is always better than "unique" to keep it safe (and to provide more value to readers). You should check copyright rules in your area before deciding how to handle the issue of "unique" content.

One way to be sure to get unique content is to employ a writer at wages that will allow them to do original research and writing. We guarantee all of our articles are original and created using multiple open sources for information. However, we often turn down work because it is not feasible to maintain this quality at the rate offered.
If you want guarantees, look at iTrader, client testimonials, pay at least .03/word, and get the Copyscape paid option.

theres poor re-writting and theres brillient re-writting that looks original :P as a famous writer once said when he was asked how did he write such brillent books. "Im not a good writter but im a brillient re-writter". Best to use a system of sites or make sure you find someone who knows what there doing well enough, i.e a guy whos taking Law at university would (i would hope) be able to write better original conent then a person who claims they'll write any article for $3 per 500 words.

Or better yet write it yourself you lazy guy lol, everyones always looking for the easy ways to do stuff. >.> i domy own articles ... 80% . . . granted i got my GF to do my cooking section.

Not full-proof, but...type in the author's name, and a few of the words from the article.
