Hello

What are the best ways to advertise bidding directories?

I have setup a pr3 bidding directory at www.shoutlinks.com

I was wondering the best ways to advertise, and where most people find bidding directories from?

Calum

Yes indeed, you can also announce your site by adding it into bidding directories.

My site below in signature has a lot of daily visitors ;)

The best would be bidding high on other bidding directories, to create a buzz and attention for your directories.
Also getting banners on directorycritic, directory rate and directory blogs.

I think as stated above the best way to bid on other bidding directories, but high bids are nessesary to make your directory visible to people. Good luck thou.

You can add it to our list of bidding directories (http://www.web-directories.ws/General/Bid/). You will be number 200 on the list. The high PR sites get hundreds of hits a year.

From my experience better conversion rate have to ist high on other bid directories.
So that will be the best and most expencive way:)
You can pick 3-10 old bid directories and aim the top of them;)

Thanks mikey for the tips.

I have submitted the directory to your bid directory (zorg-links). I only placed the minimum bid for now, but when more income comes from the site I will definitely make it higher.

directory-critic.com - Submit it there too ;)Directory Critic is an absolute load of crap. We submitted a site there and it hasn't sent one person over to us, has inaccurate details on it and is too full of competition directories.

Don't waste your money.

Linking to other bidding directories also an important idea.

I got around 20 visits from the new directories page, one of them got me a $3 bid but nothing more. I am yet to see any visits from the main page. I have also submitted to other ones like directory rate etc.

Yep I am starting to do this now thanks

It wasn't and proved a point to me that it's just another way for one person to make money. The owner of that site. If it worked it would be something but half of it doesn't function properly.
