Ebay Partner Network: first commissions?

Curious to see how quickly commissions are reported. Anyone see any commissions reported yet? I see some clicks coming through from a few hours ago when the links were moved over to the new system....

It's difficult, a click doesn't mean that the person will bid on the item, or if the person bids doesn't mean it'll win. With ebay, sales before 24h i supose it's not possible. Just my 2 cents.

true, I would see ACRU's throughout the day on CJ..... right now there is a large lag in just the click reporting though....

just saw a report update with quite a few clicks across multiple campaigns, looks like the tracking is working.....

It would appear that the Dashboard stats are really dramatically delayed in updates. You have to run the report to show the most recent stats from ePN.

Strange....still after a lot of traffic logged in the reports area it shows $0 revenue (I do a few hundred dollars a day in CJ)....is reporting going to be this bad or are the cookies not being set with each visitor?

Anyone see any commissions or ACRU's in their reporting panel?

same here, have a lot of clicks reported, nothing else... BUT, I am seeing activity inside the CJ reporting for today after I switched the links.... there is an ACRU reported... I'm thinking someone clicked on a cached link somewhere, since the SID reported isn't being used in the new ebay system....

I'm used to seeing about $50 a day...this is worrisome.

You don't expect commissions to be reported in real time do you? It's never happened before with eBay/CJ. I doubt if this will be any different.

I'm also seeing impressions and clicks.

I'm also seeing impressions and clicks.

It wasn't real time for CJ but you would see ACRU's within hours. Also some of the eBay international websites would show sales on bids. With the new platform on ePN its showing zip zero for hours now except clicks and impressions.

Give it a few days before you panic!! Then if people report geting earnings, and you got none...PANIC!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is a good reason to delay changing the links for a week or so. We can watch you guys test it out and...panic if reports are slow!! Heck, over at CJ, today ebay was slower than normal at geting yesterdays earnings added. Last I hurd, they are geting bombed with applications, which can obviously cause some delays if they have to update the reports manually like at CJ.

Can you guys tell me how the ACRU's work at eBay? isn't it within 30 days of sign up, but let's say a user signed up 28th of March but payments are each month for previous month, so at what point the commission is reversed if he is not a full ACRU? if he didn't bid within 30 days of sign up..

How come it's reporting clicks but not impressions? I thought we were finally going to get decent stats reporting.

when the user registers, ebay reports a registration event to you, if they place a bid or buy it now within 30 days, you get an active registration and the $25, and get paid for it the following month....

Haven't seen any $$ yet. I had ACRUs everyday with CJ. I guess EPN has longer delay in reporting ACRUs.

@FikseGTS, so the leads are shown instantly but final only after 30 days after event date, so if no bids etc they will be reversed?

You have to generate a report to see impressions and clicks. The dashboard for me atleast hasn't updates in ages. Still no revenue is shown for me now on the second day.

Can someone please help this poor old lady. Before the editor kit stopped working I changed five of my links and now I've looked at my report. There is a very strange graph that I don't quite understand. It has clicks on the left and earnings on the right. The earnings bit says 91. ermmm....91 what? :confused:

I've seen a lot of activity around when we post events to our interface. Overall, you can expect your clicks and impressions to post to the interface within approximately 3 hours. Actions will be posted daily in the afternoon of the day following the event. Please note that eBay Partner Network is based on Pacific Daylight Time and each days events will be based on this time zone.

Here is another post by them:

Your actions (ACRUs & winning bids in this case) should show up in the afternoon the day following the actions. So for your specific question, your actions from 4/1 should show up sometime later this afternoon.

So I guess we'll have to wait around to see tonight if tracking is on point. Wow so with the ePN the delay is almost a day and a half.

Buddy, you better double check your links. You should be seeing clicks and impressions updating every 3hrs or so. The dashboard doesnt update that often but you should being seeing the updated clicks and impressions when you run the report generator.

I generated a new Editor Kit at the EPN site and replaced the one I was using. No impressions are being reported and only 50% of the normal number clicks, with no sales. Looks suspect. I switched back to CJ and will wait a few days to see how other people are doing. There are a lot of angry posters over on the EPN forum.

I have replaced my two most popular editor kits and two different sites and so far I have some clicks but no impressions. I hope by tomorrow I see some impressions. I am not converting any more over till the stats look a little more normal.

well, I just got my commissions for april 1, and it's about 1/3 of what I normally get given the number of clicks and day of the week...... doesn't look good here.....

edit:

I downloaded the report to excel, there is just no way this can be it..... maybe they keep updating as time goes on and they don't all come in as one batch..... the excel report doesn't even match the earnings reported on the website....

I tried replying to the thread on the ebay forums and get a server error... I'm sure it will all work out eventually, but it's annoying that they are in such are hurry, give everyone 30 days to move over and are not ready....

Checked again a few minutes ago and still nothing. What's going on? Is it because I use the eBay API instead of the link generator or other tools? Perhaps there's an issue with the API.

Thats a good possibility ...I haven't mover 100% of my links over to ePN but the ones I have, I've used the link generator and thats actually tracking clicks and impressions. Most peoples are reporting they see this. But no one has yet to see any commissions or ACRU.

I just took a look at the stats now it appears there appears to be some revenue showing up (very small amount for the amount of clicks) for April 1st, which is some relief.

Before any one has a heart attack over earnings...

Keep in mind that there is a 7 day cookie involved here.

The sales that show up on your ePN today only had a cookie set yesterday from your new links. The other sales from yesterday that you cookied for the previous 6 days show on CJ.

So if your earnings are about 1/7th of what your used to, it's not a catastrophe and eBay is not a crook.

Today I made and tested my link, got the click registered in the reports, so I just switched to ePN.

good point, there were some actions posted to CJ for the first as well.... have to wait a week or so to see things start to break over....

I'm just wondering how you've all updated the code in your sites. I'm overhauling the shop on my site and at the same time I'm checking that all the sellers are still active etc. I'm generating each of the code snippets in the ebay editor kit from scratch. It would have been quicker to check which parameters need to be changed and just do a search and replace but doing it this way I've got meaningful IDs in every snippet of code. I started to see impressions within a very short time of publishing just a few links. I've done a few more links today and the number of impressions and clicks has increased so I'm happy that things are being tracked properly.

any updates on this, I'm getting no impressions, no clicks and awstats says hundreds of unique viewers...I asked eBay and got the response I'd hear back from tech..still haven't heard anything, I even generated new links per request from ebay...:mad:
