DP forum not giving backlinks...

I have been posting on this forum for a couple of weeks and so far none of the sites in my sig have been given backlinks from DP. surely google crawls this site at least daily! anybody else experienced this?

Just give it time. Also the links really wont do you any good since the sites in your signature are nothing related to a webmaster forum. It will help with PR but not SERPs.

Wait for some time and keep posting.

Forums are great place to advertise your websites.

DP does give backlinks. Give it sometime and you will see :)

dp gives backlinks but you'll have to wait for it to be updated by google.

Like said above it will help PR but wont help with SERPS unless you run a webmaster based website

yea true. i class backlinks from here as an added benefit anyway - not my main purpose for being a member.

DP links are very much valuable,
For my every website, Google link command shows DP links as my valuable links.

These are few examples in which Google consider DP links as valuable Back links.
I am having another 20 websites in all those i got the same result.
So, wait till Google find your back link update one more time.
You will come to know at that time, how much DP links are valuable for any website.

Also, did you check for some backlinks from DP in Yahoo?

I suggest you wait, google will list these in webmaster tools, sooner or later.

If you have noticed, Google does not show all backlinks to site.

Try comparing it using Yahoo to search for backlink, you'll get more results in Yahoo.

Yes, patience is the key... i am lucky and I have a link development blog, and whenever I post in the link development section, it helps out for my SERPS and my PR.

Also, DP is a great form of free advertising. if you add useful information and not just useless posts, then people can see you as an authority, and WANT to go to your site.
