I have a rate me site, designed around I-Rater Platinum
the domain is ukbums.com, this was appraised at $5000 - $7000 with no site

It charges £10 (approx $17) per sign up
since august 2005 there has been 164 sign ups however the first 50 were given free so giving me a revenue income of £1140 (approx $1938)
it gets around 300 uniques per day with no work needed to run it if necessary

It is set up to accept paypal, however can easily have 2checkout added just by adding your merchant number in the admin section.

It had a PR of 2 until I changed the design after which it went to 0, however it has a predicted PR of 4

The site gets a lot of search engine hits, with the keywords nice bums uk giving you a number one position on google.

For the lucky buyer, I will also throw in 1.5million visits (purchased targetted traffic) .. to give you an idea 0.1% sign up rate would give you £15000 instant income (approx $25,500)

I am not looking for time wasters on this as I need the cash.

Why not just throw in this method to yourself and make 25K and not be desperate to sell at 6K... 2k.

if you KNOW it's a good converting site then just buy 250,000 visitors and make some extra cash.

You say you have no money, fair enough, use your credit card. If you are confident in your site then you WILL profit. No need to sell it for a loss.

No I'm not trying to put you down, I'm serious. If your site converts well and you just need more traffic to make the cash, use your credit card. If you've properly calculated the risks, you should come out ahead.

I think you should rather post this in an adult forum or those with adult forum category where the right audience are.

Posting in the general family-oriented forum here would definitely give you red flags and you might be preaching to the wrong crowd.

I run a pretty similiar website and I've actually bought it over pretty cheap. I find that my members are not the ones who quite like clicking on banners. Anyways, it is just for the fun of it so I am just running it as a community service.

in a nutshell
bad business choices at the back of last year meant that I went personally bankrupt I have a number of sites, 2 which earn money and a few free. I have ukbums and also a webhosting business. The webhosting business just scrapes through enough cash to pay its expenses and the lack of traffic for ukbums means it will wither away. i need to sell one or the other, to fund the one that remains. The web hosting is the one i want to keep because it has a regular monthly income, however the receiver knows about it and if i sell it i will lose the money. where as the other one if i sell it i dont have to declare the money
it is all very complecated

why not use the traffic you have paid for to get the $25k yourself and then sell the site anyway if you need the money?

Not trying to bash the thread just want to clear these q's up for people so you can get some bids possibly.

Why not set up an offshore company, sell the site to the offshore company, give the OR their pennies, then rake the money in while keeping it offshore! The OR and Inland Revenue have no jurisdiction offshore so can not officially question you about it. If they DO ask you anything, then the answer you give is "Do you have jursdiction in Delaware then"? They will say no, you then reply " then why am I being questioned about matters outside of your jurisdiction" Say NOTHING else.

Don't sell for a loss, move it offshore.
