Hello friends,

One guy ripped me off for $15. We had a deal for a script for $15. I payed him but never got a script from him. Is there security that we can use while trading at Dp? Is there any way that DP can take actions regarding those people?

Leave a comment via iTrader. That is what it is there for.

That is true, but if you only deal with people who have been around awhile and have a positive iTrader rating you have a better chance of success.

I would be pretty reluctant to deal with somebody who signed up yesterday and has one post.

You are right... It was so stupid of me... anyway... I paid the price for my foolishness...

It was not big amount.. but you know it can effect the credibilty of DP and members wont trust each other. I know tons of trades are done on DP...

Well, you will find scammers everywhere. At least you only lost 15 bucks. I know it hurts, but it will teach you to be more careful next time. I have lost hundreds, and I know people who have lost thousands.

Users don't get deleted as far as I know. Banned, yes, but never deleted. You would need to verify with Shawn on this one.

Gotit? what mode of payment you used? If using paypal, you can claim as a fraud,

Many buyers do this to me when they have the script already. Sic!

Users with 0 posts won't show on the member list (this case), neither will banned users.

hmmm... you did business with a 0 poster??

Totally agreed. Common sense is needed when doing business.

You should check the persons repute on forum, get with him on messenger and make sure he is legit befroe you do business with him.

Doing business with a person who has 0 posts here, is definitely not a good idea.

Definately doing a deal with someone with no posts is unwise.
However someone has to do the "first deal" with the guy at some point. Best wait till theyve made at least 100 posts i think.

Sometimes it doesn't matter much. I just had a deal with one guy over gamescript that I help him customize it. He has only one post.

Not true in general :D

That must now be 0.000000001% of people on DP. :D

MG, do you do business only with yourself? :p That would be quite schizophrenic... MG selling to MG.

I reckon it'll be a very cheap lesson in doing business as you only lost $15. If I were you I'd thank the gentleman for making it so cheap! ;)
