I'm not sure if Digg created the concept, but you know how you can digg a comment up or down in digg.. it disapears form your screen if you vote against it.. I'm pretty sure that's how they work at Digg.. I know that's how coupon code offers work at retailmenot.com just incase i'm confused...

Anyway, we get a lot of.. PM Sent.... thanks.. and non sence replies here at DP do to the huge amount of people using the site..

It'd be kool if we could 'vote' on thread replies here too.

there is a famous mod for vbulletin 'thank you mod' but that will cause added load on the servers... Since DP's servers are already stressed soo much, the possibility of having those kind of mods is very remote :D

If someone responds well (or badly) you can leave them a reputation comment using this button: http://forums.digitalpoint.com/images/buttons/reputation.gif. Your comment is anonymous (unless you identify yourself) and the user only sees the last 5 reputation points.

Be aware that leaving a red rep - or negative comment - will cost you one point and there is a limit to how much rep you can spread around in a day.

If you do that, then please look at the original thread. Many thread starters will say "Post here for more information" and on threads like that there is little recourse then to post there.

However, in most other instances I think that sarahk gave some grand advice.

One of the best methods of moderation is through the actions of the community. We, if we group together, can show that such practices are no wanted here.

So more power to ya!

I personally dont like that Thank Post Mod. Its basically sux. There is no need of Digg like Mods. Reputation is the best part. All you need to do it add some. You dont like the post add negative one. That works both ways. You need to have good repo to hit hard. So a newbie cant do much damage.

It's a good idea in theory, but it would be abused imo and wouldn't be fair, think about how many people would use it to bury other perfectly harmless sales threads just to get more exposure for their own.

^^ Majority of the users didn't understood what the LadyHoldem wanted.
It doesn't relate to the burying of 'threads'.

OP wants a feature to display the replies (of a thread) in the same way as the comments to a story/article dugg are displayed. [ie, a 'Threaded' display of replies]

vBulletin has a feature that very vaguely represents that system.
See it in action here :
