Yes some of us are...including me I'm guilty :(
I noticed that with most sites that I start. How in the beginning you post so many articles and comment on so many blogs...and its no different with link building.
You start off contacting as many people as possible about your website and exchanging links in hopes of building up your profile in (insert your niche)...After your site gains a little momentum most people forget about the basics of link building as a great search engine and promotional tools.
I was thinking about it today when thinking of some new promotional ideas for my website...and I thought to myself why not go back to the basics. You can never have enough links, or websites knowing about your site..not if your in it to make money and provide value to your advertisers or readers..depending on your type of site or what niche your in.
How many of you webmasters actually use link building like you did when your site first launched?
