Dumb question alert: Can I Digg and Stumble my own blog?

I have never Dugg or Stumbled anything (yes, I've been under a rock :)). I've got what I think is a particularly interesting blog post, and I'm wondering whether I can submit my own site.

And can someone else Digg or Stumble it if I don't have an account yet? I plan to set up accounts, but I'm trying to figure out how this works.

Yes you can do it yourself that is how most sites get listed. You can have someone do it for you if you know someone that will do it also.

Oh, heavens, no. All my stuff's original. I hate losers who steal content and have already had mine stolen.

Don't start digging and stumbling JUST your own stuff. If you havent done too much social media stuff, you'll see in order to succeed in communities such as Digg and Stumbleupon, you have to be an active member of their community.

yeah, you can but if you do it too much you will get banned

No problem, you can do it with a few pages.

If you submit your entire site to Digg, it will be considered spam and you (and possibly your site too) may bet banned from Digg.

I know a few sites that got banned from digg because of spamming.

Do it for sure but not too often :D

i dug one article on my site, and within 10 minutes I had over 400 visitors...pretty amazing!
