I have seen many members at different forums offering submissions of sites to 1 million directories and search engines at cheap rates.

Do you really think that your site is submitted to 1 million different directories and search engines?

I once tried a service where someone was offering to submit my site to 500,000 directories/search engines. The rates were quite cheap so I gave it a try but did not see any results.

What are your thoughts about such services and have you seen any results?

1 million useless links will get you useless results, this won't do anything for you.

Yes and they are total rubbish... your site is submitted to FLA pages, link farms and lord knows what else

Best advice is to stay away from anyone making such claims...

Better you submit your site to only few web directories daily yourself for getting good result IMO gkd. Stay away from this :rolleyes:

Submitters provide the directory list to which they are submitting.

Ask for that, how can there be 1 million directories and search engines all accepting your website? And if they start submitting it would take an year to submit a website.

Its nonsense, basically 1 million directories and search engines do not exist, you would be completely wasting your money to use anything like this.

There are lots of directories worldwide, ive been checking, but no where near as many as people fantasize about.

Same with search engines.

Its only when you look at these lists personally that you see how many arent updated, contain sites which arent even directories, are 404s and on and on

if you are willing to go with someone who says they will submit your site to 1m directories well you couldnt think much of the site you are submitting

Its total crap. Search engines will find you. They must be using some sort of spammy program.

Most of them will spam search engines and directories. Just remember Rome wasn't built in a day. :)

It would take years to type in a million URLs. Otherwise, they would be spamming every type of site around (most of them inappropriate for your site).

I have been working for years at accumulating a list of directories (http://www.web-directories.ws/). I'm up around 9000, but much of them are Paid, Niche or Regional.

In my opinion you should not make the statement unless it is true. In case you are under any delusions, the statement is not true in any way.

2 . You risk more then wasting your money like a penalization

And there aren't out there more then 10k cirs (most payed) so ....
