48hr Logo Contest - $75 Prize via Paypal

Hey everybody. We are in the process of updating our logo and I could use some help. Our company, Anglers and Hunter Travel, is one of four niche travel business we own. We are a booking agent for fishing and hunting vendors around the world. We've been in business since 1984 and would really like to create a new look for the company. We are waiting for the logo before we start on the new webpage, which is why we have the short turn around requirement. I've attached a logo that I like, but am open to other ideas as well. This graphic is from a sporting expo we co-hosted a couple of years ago and has a ram, elk, salmon and some ducks. Not keen on the mountains in the background but it went with the theme of the show.

We need a logo that looks good in color and black and white and has to have our full name incorporated. Other than that let's see what you can come up with. As I mentioned, we have three other companies and we may use you for thier logo's as well.

Thanks for your submission. Appreciate the effort. I quess I should add that it would be helpful to have both fish and land animals incorporated into the design. The design will hopefully connect with what we do as a niche travel agency. We plan to use this logo on our letterhead as well as the web.

Nice entry. I like the second version a lot. Couple of thoughts.

1) The font of the name doesn't really work for our target audience. Something a bit more masculine and stands out more. It sort of fades into the background.

2) animal mix - nice graphics. Is it possible to remove the tropical fish and the heron/pelican (not sure which type it is but it is not a game bird) and replace with a game fish such as a bass and/or marlin?

3) finally, I would try to move the goose a little to the left and down so its a bit more distinct from the deer's antlers.

I was offline yesterday with family stuff. I really appreciate all the submissions. After looking them over, I think Patricksia2007 came closest to what we were looking for so he is the winner of the contest. Thanks again for your ideas on our new logo.
