I am posting this thread for my friend, who is starting up a badges web site.

He is looking for quality badge designs, which will be printed and made into 25mm badges and sold on his web site.

There will be no limit to the number of entries you can submit on here.

Your designs should be created in 300dpi setting at a high enough setting to print at 34mmx34mm approx, with the main part of the design occupying the middle 22-23mm circle.

He needs the PSD file for each design you are submitting.

Also, please be aware that he will not accept anything with copyright logos, characters, slogans etc. All original designs please.

Categories you can design for include :-

Music, Sports, Slogans, Cute, Naughty, TV & Film, Retro, Geeky, Smiley & 'I love..'.

You don't need to stick to these but it might give you some ideas.

Feel free to design as many as you like, there isn't really a limit to the number of entries he will accept as long as they are satisfactory.

$1.50 will be paid for each design submitted. Exceptional entries may receive more.

My friend will be signing up shortly to post feedback on entries and whether or not he will accept your submissions.

You can download a PSD template (http://www.memvis.com/badgetemplate.psd) to use to put your badges on but please remember they need to be 300dpi square canvas with the design in the centre.

Hey again :) Well we are a little disappointed in the lack of response - these designs can take you just a few seconds to make and you will now get $3 per accepted design - I know it doesn't sound much but this will add up if my friend purchases a few from you.

Just want to make sure, the PSD template you provided, it is suitable to do all the designs on? I.E. already the correct size?

Hey, don't worry about the size of the PSD as they can be resized no worries, it's just as a guide for you really and a rough one at that! ;)

Also, for everyone...when posting your samples please don't post full size, but a smaller 200x200px square like the above samples :)

@RNHalawi.com :- These designs are not really what i was looking for, firstly the badges are going to be sold primarily on uk ebay so american slogans etc are no good sorry. I am also lookin for something a bit less plain, im not suggesting you go over the top on colours or design just more attractive. thanks for your first entry though.

@Neticule :- Well, as above these badges are going on ebay so there are some limits on swearing. touchy themes should be fine as long as they arent too offensive.

UKF Kurtis:- thanks for the designs, unfortunately you have designed two of the limited few i have already had made. thanks and soory about that.

I should of maybe asked davey to post this at first:
to stop anyone making designs which i may already have i would like people to steer towards the music, smileys and naughty. For the naughty section i was thinkin of stick men/women in different sexual positions with maybe gay and lesbian positions too(i was thinkin of using blue for male pink for female).

If you have already started others please post as i only have a limited few so far.

@Neticule:- I like ur designs especially the ninja vanish one only thing is what does ninja vanish mean? is that a move a ninja would execute? that is the kinda thing im interested in i have also posted some guide lines in my last post cheers.

Ok wonderful :) I will keep making more when I get some more time free! How long do you suppose your gonna be runnin this "contest"? How many buttons are you looking to get?

And yeah, ninja vanish is just some ninja move, I think I remember it from some old japanese movie I watched as a kid :P Usually it involves blinding your opponent with a quick toss of powder in the eyes, followed by a quick escape, haha!

@Neticule :- some great designs there. Really like the first and Third of the first post for stickmen, would like to have same style throughout though so it would be either no faces or faces on all. the backgrounds can change slightly. Could you try to do something with there arms too as on the bottom one of first post it looks like she has something growing out of her head. Super work.

regarding this 'contest' it will remain open until the designs dry up really, of course though the quality of design is also a factor.

If anyone is going to try designing the smiley badges i was thinkin of them being in the style of the msn ones cheers Darren.

Hi,

Thanks for having a go ladyfiesta, not really what im after at the moment. I have put some themes which i would like doing on the first page, these are smileys and stickmen in sexual positions. The designs are not limited to these of course but i am looking for consistant quality designs. If you want to have another go try maybe teenage current affair issues or styles/cults.
