I researched this for months and months and the best one that I have found that I believe must be making a packet for its owner is http://wwwyoutube.com it has an alexa of 49 k which is excellent for a typo but you tube is ranked 2nd in the world so this is a fantastic typo and it must be getting between 3000 - 4000 uniques a day!

I have found many many others went through the top 500 in Alexa rankings looking for them and this has to be the best captured all I can say is lucky sod! lol

I read somewhere that some guys had around 10 typos of Dell and were redirecting to dell through and affiliate link with link share they were getting sued not heard much since then though?

Traffic (http://www.alexa.com/data/details/traffic_details/wwwyoutube.com?q=)

I tend to look at the Top Moves and Shakers (http://www.alexa.com/site/ds/movers_shakers?lang=en) each day looking for typos to hopefully capture one that will make some good cash but their all blooming gone! Got on the band wagon too late I think.

I do own quite a few Typos though and I convert the traffic reasonably well but I have literally given up on making more than a few bucks here and there from it and no longer purchase them each day more like each week lol.

could wwwyoutube.com not get sued by youtube?

why?..I don't think so .. one different letter makes a different brand name

Of course it can be sued.

Would wwwyoutube.com exist if youtube.com didn't? I'd think not.

Why should they be able to sue?

You could probably avoid lawsuits by putting up a notice that says "did you mean youtube.com?" with a link. THen go crazy with your ads or whatever it is you do to make money off the domain. Or you could just sell it to someone for $1mil and it's their problem. :D

Some typos work for awhile and sometimes search engines list correct sites instead so make sure they work before you buy domain names.

I never make any decent money on typos. Maybe it's cause I don't know how to choose the good ones. Still some times I can't avoid registering new ones

I make quite alot through typos but they are ones I have built up from the past I tend not to do this anymore and just develop sites instead! I may go back to typos one day.
