Here's a fun request

Shawn, could you possibly add a feature to send an automatic thank you email (or ecard) to each customer each year on their anniversary date based on their establish date?

It could be as easy as having a letter available with an auto task, or an integrated ecard or something like that. It shows an extra level of professionalism to acknowledge customer loyalty, and in addition to that, it would be nice to have a birthday field in their account to do the same with a birthday ecard or eletter just to show them we care about them. It seems like a simple thing that could make a big difference in how our customers are treated....you know, extra special :)

Well, in theory you could do it already with the Mass Mailings. Since you can send a mass mailing to anyone based on a found set of data.

The IDEA is to have it done automatically, that makes it simple to do (which means that it's actually going to happen, everytime).

Scheduling of certain things beyond the normal automated tasks is something I'm going to look at for FileMaker 7. So it might happen at that point.
