I have a site that is 2 years old and I'm recently submitting it to every single directory plus I have the opportunity to place links on about 40,000 pages on different sites.

Considering that my site is not new but has been online and indexed for 2 years will all of this links all of the sudden get my site banned or sandboxed by google/yahoo/msn?

Please advice/comment...

Thank you

I don't think so,
But don't try to building link so fast,
If more than 30 links G found for you website new every day, than might be the chance of getting in sand box,
And you can do directory submissions as many as you want, because G and other SE's take more than a month to cached it, no probs. with that,
You may go ahead.

You saying that your site is banned by google. I cant say much on this problem till i dont see your site.
did you check site:yourdomain.com.?
May be your website is not updated and you are gaining too many links thats why this happen.

Its always better to build your links slowly on regular basis.
by submitting to directories, you won't get all the links immediately as they will take time to accept/approve.

No my site is not banned. It has been indexed for 2 years and it is still there.
I never did much to it in this 2 years apart from a basic on site optimization. Until now I'm going back to start a massive off site optimization. The problem is that I don't know if I might be trying to get 2 many links 2 fast and if this is going to jeopardize my site even if it isn't new.
