Apache recompile help needed

Hi all,

quick question. I need to recompile apache 2.0.55 as I need to add mod_deflate to the system. I however do not want to lose all my settings.

Is this possible?

Also how do I get the configuration setting of the last apache /configure I ran. Is this even possible ?

usualy you need to have a config.cache, but i dont know if the settings will be there, so try to run configure in folder where apache is and look if is ok with conf.

If not try to see if in histor y of bash do you have something (prees up arrow)

Or just note all the modules installed the php configure using the phpinfo() and the httpd.conf
