I need a thoughts about the forum software phpbb version 3. I am thinking of building a forum site. ANd the last time I used the phpbb which was then version 1, is too spammable... Since then I dropped my forum site and did not continue anymore.. Hope to hear from you...

Phpbb 3 gold version is much more better than previous versions and I am not getting any spam in my forum. But spamming can happen any time, not only with phpbb but other commercial forum scripts. ;)

Yes, they are same script but Phpbb 3 Gold is the latest or stable version I think. Most of the directories in my signature are not free but free with reciprocal link -- >www.buyonclick.com and www.ozetour.com

Gold just means 1.0. Anything less is not recommended because it is simply below 1.0 and just a Release Candidate.
Thus far I have had 0 spam-bot registrations on my board. I've also been adding small mods and such to it without issue. I recommend it above VB and everything else except Ron Paul.

In unmodified form they are all very susceptible to spam, phpbb3 doesn't have this problem yet because it is pretty new, but it will come, but that's what they make anti-spam mods for (like anti-bot questions at signup and things like that) :)

So is the use of the English language. Phpbb3 has no need for modifications of that nature even if they "r" good.

I would add an "yet" to your statement :)
As it was said above it's just new.
