Search will never be dead because its the prinicpal way people look for information on the net.

Even when there is no search such as the computers just read your mind and deliver it before you conciously knew about wanting it (I'm sure this is somewhere in Microsoft's Labs), there will still be a search component to monetize.

No matter what happens some kind of search system will be around. Which is not to say that the search systems aren't going to evolve and change.

Yes, search is dead.

Keep telling yourself that while everyone else thinks otherwise and we'll see who's right.

This is a good example of why you should always take these types of articles with a grain of salt. Ha. SEO is dead indeed. That's why I (along with many other people) make my living primarily from natural traffic.

People are always wanting to freak out and over-react about things.

up and down is part of life same as up and down traffic in search engine, It does not mean search is dead or traffic is dead,

I am continuously getting high traffic for my site from Yahoo Search Engine, I don't think so that yahoo search engine is dead. Last few days I got good increased traffic from yahoo.
