Any possibility of adding a User Agreement step to the web signup process. A simple accept button at the bottom would allow them to proceed while a decline would redirect them to an error page explaining that they need to accept before proceeding. We are trying to build a paperless process and as EUAs become more important it would be a great feature to know that we are legally better covered before the customer can proceed.

Couldn't that be easily done external to Optigold though? If they accept it, they proceed to the signup. If they decline, they don't.

That's exactly what we do.

We do that already, but it would be useful if there was ever a problem to have a time/date stamp for user agreement acknowledgement that was recorded in Optigold as a practical matter. It does not go over well if you have to face a judge and say "I know they must have agreed, otherwise they could not have arrived at the sign-up page." After all these legal devices are designed to cover your behind, and the agreement date should equal the signup date, but it is more legally compelling if we can have some recorded agreement data.

Wouldn't that be the signup date/time? Something similar would be end user license agreements in software. You can't install the software unless you agree. I don't think there is a logging system for them that says it was agreed to at 1:14 pm, and installed at 1:14 pm. Since they would always be the same, and you can't install without agreeing.
Another example would be this forum, you have to agree to the terms, but it's not specifically logged saying the terms were accepted at a certain time, because you can't signup *unless* you agree.
