Help with spammer, SMF

Hey eveyrone,

I have a forum for my iPhone site- the forum is here: http://www.iphonenews.ca/forum

I have one guy dominating the forum with hundreds of posts and threads about his video conversion software.. he seems to have numerous accounts talking with himself about the software, asking fake questions, etc. I have gone in and banned loads of member accounts he has posted under (including all the IP addresses he has accessed the site with) and yet somehow he still keeps coming back and posting! I can't figure out what to do without hiring someone to actually be on the forum each day and moderate it for me....

Any advice?

Censor the name of his software and website, when he posts about them, it would only appear as **** :)

you could try banning him. might be a good idea to upgrade your forum as well, your several upgrades behind.

I might try upgrading- I have tried banning him at least 20 times (20 dif member names and hundreds of IPs and IP ranges).

I thought about censoring the names of his website/product. I think I will do that.
