My domain dropped from the serps on the 27th.

I'm listed, but always low in the serps, even for searches that are unique to my site.

If I take a portion of text from my home page that is 100% unique to my domain, then search for it (with speech marks surrounding the text) my domain always comes up last in the serps. (Other pages come up, as a example http://www.allonesearch.com/explain-tote-betting.htm, they take portions of the sites content and display it next to the adverts, so these types of sites come up, then mine, always at the bottom).

I've been number 1 for some very competitive phrases for over 14 months now, I rode all the storms. I've hit a penalty, does anyone have similiar experiences? How did you "get back"??

Can you PM me the URL and one or two of the previously ranked terms?

How do you know if you have been penalized or if your site is just getting beat by the competition?

when you search the keyword on google, after the results come up, append "&filter=0" to the Google Search URL.
See if your site ranking goes up.
If it does then it could be a duplicate content filter.

a lot of foreign sites are copying our sites.

Try this:
http://www.[yourdomain].com.1bu.com

How do you add the &filter=0? When I try it google actually searches for that string.
