install the Ad Management mod (http://custom.simplemachines.org/mods/index.php?mod=255) and you can use that to display your adsense.

You can add the Adsense code in index.template.php and display.template.php. Insert the code after the echo word depending which part of the site you want to insert adsense.

Hey thanks for letting me know, didn’t knew there was an additional step in turning them on for rest of the user groups! Such stupid things makes me hate using SMF!

its not stupid really, this keeps things from your guests and any other member group you want to disallow.
SMF is the best free forum out there and they have the best selection of add ons as well, also mostly free.

Used to run a fully modded phpbb 2.x forum for over a year, now its transferred to vBulletin and going strong. Never had any problems modding or editing phpbb or vBulletin, but SMF is plain confusing.
