delay in ICICI bank withdrawal

On Feb 5, i had withdrawn $295 from paypal to my ICICI bank and today is Feb-7 still not credited to my account. i had withdrawn in past 6 months and usually it takes about 48hrs for the funds to reach my account. i checked paypal and the status is completed.

This time i am getting worried. has anybody withdrawn this month?

I think you will get your funds in your hdfc account today itself (8th Feb). Check this with your bank in the evening.

RBI has discontinued its EFT system with effect from 1st Feb,08. The NEFT system will continue to function. Your funds transfer(incl.Standing Instructions) will not be executed from 1st Feb,08 for receiving bank branches that are not part of NEFT.

PP is using NEFT so there is no any problem related to transfer to our ICICI or HDFC bank account IMO.

I only remember when i added account 4 months back, it never asks savings or checking.

why it shows checking although my account is only savings?

I withdrew my money on 21.01.2008 and still haven't received my money on my VISA account. The status isn't even complete, it's pending. Can you believe that ? And apparently i'm not a isolate case either, thousands are complaining. :|

PP involves NEFT (national electronic funds transfer) which is intra-india. Tell them it is coming from citibank under NEFT. TT involves international.

Just for the testing purpose for all of you i have initiated one small amount bank withdrawal to my ICICI bank as on 7th Feb. Status is completed since 8th Feb. Today is 10th Feb but maybe delay due to weekend so hope for the best. Let you know all once i get funds in my ICICI bank account.

did you open your PP account between those dates? I think your account should have resetted the monthly withdrawal limit between those dates. As otherwise PP will not allow withdrawal more than that of specified limit.

My paypal account is more then 1 year old.

No need to panic. RBI stopped the EFT
RBI has discontinued its EFT system with effect from 1st Feb,08. The NEFT system will continue to function. Your funds transfer(incl.Standing Instructions) will not be executed from 1st Feb,08 for receiving bank branches that are not part of NEFT.

I know paypal is doing NEFT transfer. But problem because of EFT closed. Just my assumption.

I too got my money at 5.18 p.m. Now I have transferred $3500 in total through bank wire in the month of february(my limit shown on paypal is $2500 per month) so this limit only applies for paper checks. If you are a verified premier member then you can transfer any amount in a particular month through bank wire. let me transfer some more :D

I came here searching for same problem and Glad I Found I am not alone
I am using HDFC and since last 3 months when paypal started NEFT I always received it with in 72 Hours but this time I initiated on 4th Feb and still no money in HDFC (Its 6:00 PM of 11th feb. here now)

Perhaps its because HDFC change bank account numbers to make them 14 Digits by appending 0 in front without telling customers .I call HDFC Bank Trouble makers(Read Customer care)and they say they will still accept transactions coming to old account numbers.But who knows what they will do in reality.Indian banks really sucks and I don't know what to do with them...

when ICICI gives me problem I start using HDFC and when HDFC gives problem I start using ICICI so its just a cycle!

The IFSC code for NEFT transfer is ICIC0SF0002 which is same for all branches.

The IFSC code for RTGS funds transfer is ICIC0000014 for your branch, MANGALORE.


In the past, I have recieved ambiguous responses from the support. I think the guys at custommer support write a reply based on their personal experience. Reply of one guy doens't seem to agree with that of others and sometime they give information that is outright incorrect.

Can anyone verify that all branches of ICICI bank have same IFSC code for NEFT transfer?
