I don't have credit card yet,I am applying now.Now a days credit cards are getting very popular and necessary. It is not only useful for internet to buy products,it is also useful for paying bills, and for booking rooms, tickets etc., fastly and easily using mobiles and other devices.I want to know what are the advantages and disadvantages using credit cards?

With the advent of the internet, a credit card is a must if you want to purchase things online. I do shop around in stores either locally or overseas and most times it is inconvenient to carry loads of money around. Besides some credit card companies would offer you reward points which you can use to redeem things, some offer cash back/discounts, most would offer some kind of purchase protection like giving you purchase insurance or the ability to chargeback if the seller did not fulfil their side of the contract.

The biggest disadvantage is that it is so easy to overspend and if you do, you would inevitably end up with paying heavy interests and may put you into debt. So you need to have a lot of self control.

Then there are more advantages than disadvantages in credit card. The main disadvantage is only by overspend.Nice post.

It's a must have but be careful you don't get yourself into debt with one. Be responsible with your spending :)

Ive got a debit card but it has a $500/day limit, not enough for me usually. I only use it for food, gas, etc.

Nowadays people don't use cash anymore. You get paid to your account, you shop with it, pay bills ... you practically do everything with your credit card and yes, I have a few too.

They're only expensive in the long run if you carry balances and don't pay the card off. I've never paid a cent of interest and only gained (cashback rewards). They're almost a must have to build good credit history.

I have both debit and credit cards. Though will only use my credit card for an emergency or an investments that will yield me more than the interest!:)

Hi, I’m new to this forum. And I was hoping that you could help me. I’ve been trying to find the best credit card offers and reviews. So far, I’ve checked out financeglobe for some tips.

Anyone have any good or bad experiences? Whats the best deal for rewards?
