hi,

I recently got a mail from paypal that i reached my limit and now i have to fax them my id and utility bill...

Well, the main problem is that i'm not 18 yet, i'll be in 6 months...
The 2 cards added on paypal are on my own name, no vccs or other crap.
My paypal is not limited yet, it will probably be in few days...but i can still send my money from it.

What can i do?

What if i don't send the documents? will i be able to send them later, in 6months?

Any suggestions?

I got many on-going transactions and much money to recive...

Thanks

Is there a way you can enter bank details or social security number?

I have account and I am 17... I entered bank detail, and social security and they didn't check my age with ss so I guess you can tryyy that?

How much money did you recived?
I got 1000EUR+ this year, and that's why they limited it... also, i am no from US, and i don't think i can add my bank account.

You need to check the paypal website, they currently allow people from about 40 countries to add a bank account.

When i try it show me: Country: United States (only)
wich is not my country...so i guess my country is not on that list..

Which country are you from ? No, the optional for withdawal to your bank is not open to all countries. In the 'PayPal Offerings Worldwide' page, it will show US as the default country, use the dropdown box to select your country and it will show your options.

See the list at https://www.paypal.com/us/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=_display-approved-signup-countries-outside , this will list all the countries at one go.

What happens if i fail to send the documents out?
Will i be able to send them in few months, when i'll of age? or at least to close the current account?

Just leave it be until you are legally 18. You can do that.

You aren't being "limited" as people here normally get (due to fraud, vcc, etc), rather you have reached your money limit.

This is what the mail i got says:

We are sending you this notice because you have received more than 1,000.00 EUR in total payments to your PayPal account.

PayPal is required by law to comply with European Union Anti-Money Laundering regulations to collect information from customers when they receive more than the set limit in total payments. Please log into your account, go to the Account Overview page, and follow the instructions there about how to provide the required information. These steps need to be completed as soon as possible to comply with this regulation.

My paypal account states:
Please make sure that the documentation you provide is valid and legible. If we do not receive all of the requested documents and information indicated within 7 days, we will be unable to complete the application review process.

So i guess my pp account will become limited in 7 days right? After that, i can unlimit it anytime by sending the documents...

Thank you

Yeah, I wouldn't risk getting your account frozen by sending them documents proving you are under the age of 18. As taylorwilsdon said, your account isn't frozen it's just going to be "limited". Wait until your 18 and send in the documents.

Yes, the 7 days is the allowance period not to get your account limited so if you let the period lapse, your account will go limited under you send them the documentation which they require which would be when you reach 18 years old.

Take note of exactly which documents they require from you as you need to comply to that faithfully.

This checks is just to ensure get more documentations from you so that they have your record. This will deter anyone from using the account for money laundering purposes as those who intend to break the AUP would most likely be unlikely to provide the necessary documentations.

Look, I think what you are running into, and correct me If I am wrong...
But the $500 or so monthly withdrawal limit???
Is that correct?
You should wait till your 18 to go any further....

I got caught at 16, lol now... I am legal so it doesn't matter lol
Paypal 6 years ago... was even worse, in this regard... so consider yourself lucky

I didn't know they were running these kind of "background checks"... I never had to send them any documents. You might want to try getting a US account from ETRADE bank and adding that to your paypal account.. maybe they'll lift your limit then.

scan your Passport and then photoshop it, very easy. If you cant do it send me the scanned file and I will do it for you.

it worked for me :)

That's a nice way to never be able to have a PayPal account again. Sorry, but that's a dumb move.

yeah, you should pass the real information for your own safety because paypal might blocked your account if you do something bad.

Doesn't worth it... i used everything legal on my pp account... except my age...
No vcc or other crap... and i prefer to wait, rather than have problems with false documents.

I will get my advertising money by check...

Once you lied about your age, it is pretty much as good as violating other parts of your contractual agreement with Paypal, it sure is enough to get your account limited.

If i will send them the docs when i'm 18, i don't think they will care...
