I want to know about processing payments through a payment gateway. Please give me your experiences and the methods available for this purpose.

I'm have a good competency in development and just want to know about this payment processing stuffs

Like I said in your other thread this will vary with each payment gateway. If you want to see an example of how one might work you can see how I integrate the Authorize.Net payment gateway with PHP (http://www.merchant-account-services.org/article/authorize-net-php-integration). But keep in mind that only works with Authorize.Net. Other gateways will be integrated differently.
