I need opinion before do it.
If i put link to the other site but they don't link back to my site, is it good enough to improve PR or not?

It's always good to have SOME outbound links pointing to authoritative sites. I started off keeping all the link love, and later found that a sprinkling of outbounds is helpful.

u need link to ur site from others site in order to improve ur PR, if outbound links improve PR, then people will start to put google.com on every page of their site:rolleyes:

It might help a little. But you need to be careful about what sites you link to. In other words, don't link to porn sites, or any site that might have a "bad reputation"

I think more important is how wisely you build your site link. It's important to build link with relevant and similar site content site. It will be more important.

I think it's ok as long as you link to quality sites. Since anchor text of outbound links helps to get rank on your targeted keywords. But I don't think outbound links can help you get PR because PR is based from quality backlinks.

Well, just said that my site content is about "Aquarium Care". I have joint some forum about aquarium and fish, then put my profile and signature as my site. Also I put back their link into my site. Is it correct and can improve my PR?
Can you explain more about Quality backlink please.

Ignore PR, go for quality traffic. Ignore bots, and focus on people.
1 PR0 site that people read is worth more in the end then 2 PR5 sites that no one is going to bother checking out...at least as far as direct traffic is concerned.
I'm not saying to seek out low PR links, I'm just saying not to skip them.
Hersheys is correct though. Outbound links, for the better part, do not effect the PR of a page, though can if you are linking to "bad neighbors" or other sites banned by an SE. But outbound linking generally does not effect things one way or another...

Inbound link give you PR whereas you give PR to outbound link.

I usually use nofollow on all outbound links. Is that bad or can it only be towards your advantage?

I would really limit the amount of outbound links to under 10 on the whole site. And make those links relevant for the user or do a link exchange only.

That's bad. Outbound link will pass the PR link juice to other site. It's better that you are the one gaining the link not giving the link.

doesn't it make sense that you have to give links to get links?

Sites that has related contents, good PR and good quality links are considered as quality links. But you don't need to have them all because not all of the site can have good PR but sites with related contents and good quality links could be enough to considered as quality links.

Thanks, I have start building link with the related forum so far, only put my site at my signature.
It is difficult to gain link exchange to the related site, because my site still in PR 0.
I have to work hard more.
