I'm sure that to most of you Pagerank is a mystery, it was for me too, but recently i found a link to this free pagerank tool which uses a pretty handy algorithm .

Heres the info on it and the link.

With this tool, you can easily calculate your potential PageRank. This tool might be used also for predicting the PageRank value. You need to type the numbers of incoming links to your site (or an imaginary website) into the form below. It can also show you the advantage of getting a link from a page with high PR. It is proven fact that 1 link from a page with PageRank of 7 is much better than 100 links from pages with PR of 0.

It WAS a good tool, and many of us will have seen it before, but with more weighting now on other factors its of limited value.

thanks for the post though, its always good to re-bookmark something you forget about!

How obsolete is this tool? Is it totally useless now, or can it still be used to give a rough guesstimate?

Am curious.

its pretty much obsolete now Im afraid, its a good way of visualising how the different links are worth more, but thats about it.

PR is just a number and all prediction tools are crap

that comment is really subjective, if ALL posts about PR are a waste of time then about 15% of DP would be a waste lol!! :D :)

no, posts about PR are not waste of time, but posts about PR prediction tools are not that useful

Different people different thinking. In most important are you able to get right position those you are looking for? You may have low Pr but able to generate more business as compared to the high Pr site. Then what is the use of High Pr site If it did not give you good business.

in the past iwebtools was 100% correct. I do not know now.
