I've been considering buying some Yahoo stock also. Problem is I still wouldn't switch to their search engine.
Haven't taken a look at what's been going on with Y! financially... but I sure do hope they get stuff together. Don't want them going under (creates more of a monopoly).

I am considering Yahoo, they are quite badly beaten up but they still have enough strengths in their core competencies, still have enough eye balls to turn the tables around.

It is a very good idea to buy Yahoo stocks, with the news of they firing 15% of its workforce, it will only increase the stock. This is just a bad time for them, they will surely bounce back.

When everyone is dumping, it is actually a very good time to buy!

The only reason to buy Yahoo is on the hopes that microsoft will buy them out.

Heck even Google missed targets which really tells you something about this economy and current business conditions (http://promomanagers.wordpress.com). Overall I think we still have a long ride down, or a short quick ride, depending on how it goes the next two-three months.
Wisdomtool the disconnect is really odd. I can't remember seeing so much volatility. Some are way up, some are at all time lows.

Google executives said a revision in the company's formula for showing advertising links crimped the fourth-quarter results by reducing the number of revenue-generating clicks. Without providing details, the executives said Google made the change to decrease the frequency of "accidental" clicks on ads.

I will not, bz at the moment, microsoft wants to buy yahoo, who knows what will happen in near future to yahoo if Microsoft buy it, it is possible that its share value increases, but it can decrease too.
I am not willing to take this risk
