View Full Version : How much time is needed for Yahoo to index your site ?

Hi ,
what you think? I submitted 2 sites 3 weeks ago as usual URL submit , also submit and sitemaps .xml week after this, but nothing. I still can't find results.

URL submit is the last thing that you would want to do. SE's rank sites lower if they find them through URL submission.
Yahoo does not accept sitemap in XML format (Please someone correct me if I am wrong), they take .txt file.

Moreover, are you talking about Yahoo not spidering your site OR not indexing pages from your site OR not showing in the search results?

Google do some fast indexing then yahoo or msn. I believe it. I can bet on it. I creatd a site and submit it to a forum and after 22 hours I was able to search my site in google. so its mean google did index on my site in minuts.

Yahoo accepts xml sitemaps...

They used to accept only txt, but these days are over

google index sites really fast, in 2 to 3 days, but for yahoo, u need to wait
