number of results is misleading.

You could easily make a page that ranks #1 for "porn sex gift video wedding" or something than "compete" with 50 million other pages. but who else but you is optimizing for that?

I also have a couple that are no.1 with very few impressions & clicks... obviously they are not common terms that people look for.

There are other terms that I have that are no. 1 & they get many impressions & clicks. These are obviously common terms that people look for.

If it was a term that gets 22 million searches per day than you'd be set ;)

That's true! Number of results that come up for a search term has nothing do with number of searches for that item.

Same deal here. Not uno but in the top 5. But it is just not searched that often.

This is why WordTracker's KEI analysis is very close to meaningless.

I have a site ranked no 1 in Google for 76,000,000 search results. This site is also ranked No 2, 3, 4, 5, 51, etc for some more search terms and keywords that are more widely used by Googles users. Now I find that I am getting more visitors from typing in these search terms than what I am getting from the search term that is ranked no 1.

So as you can see it is important to get ranked the highest, but even though you do manage that, you still may not get any visitors if no body is using the search term to search for things.

So popular keywords is the main thing you should go for that doesn't have to much competition unless you are a good SEO expert.
