Check this adsense format !

Hey,

Check the adsense ads on below site.. It doesn't confer standard ads per google's format (https://www.google.com/adsense/adformats).. Can we change like this?

Some big publishers are allowed to make such changes.

why don't you think it's the case there? rapidshare is a pretty huge site. it's in the top 150 sites on alexa.

RAPIDSHARE are a premium adsense user, among googles bigest

they are not breaking the rules, google has different rules for big sites

About.com are even allowed to show graphical google ads in the emails (when you sign up for any of their newsletters - turn on show images in gmail when you receive them) they send out to you.

But I think no where google mentioned that big sites can use these kind of formats on their site. Customizing ads like this is really good thing.

they are allowed, rapidshare gets more visitors every second than most webmasters here in a week

If you look at the code, it gets to specify the keyword for the ad and if they want an exact match.

Cool thing !! the code has how many ads tobe displayed and the ad has been turned off feedback thing aswell... looking pretty simple and decent.

Oh well, i kind of hate their service...

Uploading is good, downloading from them cause me more headaches than others.
