It's free. Make sure to read and understand and live by the TOS.

Give great attention at the TOS as T0PS30 suggested and you'll have nothing to worry. Good luck!

Technically it's free, yes.

But it may cost you all your time! :)

That's right.

So you need a site that falls withing Google's rules and then you sign up for it. They will reply and tell you if you were accepted.

It costs nothing to be accepted.

But as mentioned READ the TOS. DON'T click the ads. DON'T tell friends to click the ads, DON'T try to cheat Google in any way, because they will find out and you won't get anything.

So, play by the rules and have fun.

Did you, er, bother to read Google's Adsense site? Everything you need to know is there.

Its free. But i suggest you to be member with a suggest box. People are using adsense referer boxes at their sites. If you use that kind of link to register your account then owner of that account wins 100$ if you earn 100$ in 3 months.
Think about it.

I'm surprised someone didn't tell him it's $99.99 setup/joining fee and $4.99 monthly maintenance.

Oh well, guess we're all too nice :)
