I'd develop it into a world players directory, sort by sport, gender, nationality, etc. Then make it interactive, let fans post comments, rate etc. That will transform your domain into a valuable web$ite.

.CO.UK names may not be valuable to Non-UK webmasters but it does have a good potential on the UK market :)
