I have 5000 links in yahoo (was 10k) and 22k pages in yahoo linking to my website using my keyword.
I am not in the top 1000 SERPs in yahoo for that keyword and its been like that for sometime.

Yahoo weighs onsite factors more heavily than Google.

Have you guys consider, maybe someone else had a much larger number of links to their site than yours that's why you rank that way?

pipes, yes i think i was in the 100s maybe a few months ago. yahoo has not dropped my domain it just doesnt want to rank me in the top 1000. totally unjustified.

I am ranking 29 on google and ranking 4 on msn.
you think there are 1000 website found only in yahoo with a larger number of links to their site? Add to that yahoo now wants to look into incoming links better than google and msn?

Yahoo is, in my opinion, useless :D
I am number one in Yahoo for one of my main sites with very competitive keywords.
I am number 4 in Google for the same term.
I get 7% of my total traffic from Yahoo and 75% from Google, the rest from other sources.
If I were you I would focus to ranking Page 1 in Google, and you will then start to rank better in yahoo in my experience.
Is your site spammy? duplicate content?
you need to look at all possible factors to decide what approach and changes to make!

Google ranking is more sophisticated and advanced. consider using paid submission if you really want to be a top yahoo search result.

I would suggest you to focus more on google unless you got more trafic from yahoo than google. Is it worth it? not really. but if you got some money to spare, why not.
