Spreading Reputation!

i was trying to add positive reputation to a guy

but i got a msg "Spread your reputation before giving it to xyz{userid}

whats the prob ?

There is a system whereby you need to give to others first before giving back to the same person. I think this is to prevent abuse such that one person keep giving rep to the other and vice versa.

Just remember there username and come back to them after you have givin others rep :)

wisdomtool explained it, You need to rep a few other people then you can come back to xyz.

It prevents you from repping the same friends day after day, thus devaluing the reputation system. A sensible idea.
