AWStats or something similiar

I was looking at my awstats statistics and noticed there doesnt seem to be any way to view a single days unique hits. You can view an entire month, and you can get the pageviews and hits from single days but not the uniques.

At the moment im also using addfreestats > http://www.addfreestats.com/ but im pretty sure with that you need to have it on every page in order for the figures to feature in the stats. It works great..but I dont want it to appear on every page.

Is there something similiar to either of the above that can work for my entire site, by either inserting one piece of code into a single page...or by not using code at all...ie awstats.

You could use Webalizer. I use it too on my personal server.
