I was recently contacted by someone inquiring about getting a text link advertisement (a few links on different pages) on one of my sites. I'm fairly new to this but have been reading these boards quite a bit and have learned a lot so far. I guess what I'm looking for is if anyone has experience with this can give me some advice, dos and don'ts, and any info regarding a good pricing structure and length of time the link should remain. My site is ranked a PR2 and has about 2000 uniques a month. Thanks in advance!

I also receive this kind of offers.... never accepted though because those links would look spammy... and could disturb your visitors...

It matters your niche. if its a myspace site you could probably sell it for 20$ a month. If its a poker site probably $50 a month. I would ask the guy how much he offering, and see if you like the numbers.
To propely give you a price for your site we would need more info about your site.
As for the length, do a paypal subscription for 30 days and have it automatically renew.

A great way to go around this is to use systems like LinkXL. This system is new and made to only Contextual Advertising - no header or footer linking.
