how hot is the market??

im planning on getting into web and graphic design, but browsing the forums im having second thoughts. as soon as a job offer is posted at least 5 people jump on it, and the template market is flooded unprofessional designs. I believe i am a good artist and i will succeed, how many of you think the market will improve/ stay the same/or get worse?

It honestly all depends. What I like to do is build up a portfolio/client base that keep coming to me. Then when they are satisfied I ask them to suggest me to friends and what not, then it all is downhill for me.

well, im still learning new things everyday.. I cant wait to make the transition to freelance designer, and i will start building an online portfolio for sure

the problem is, how many people are looking for that?
