Trouble with address bar

Ive got a domain registered with one company & hosting with another. The site is online & the domain is pointing at it, but when I type in my registered name:
mypage.com
it redirects to:
mypage.freehost.com
The DNS servers are okay & my host suggested that the problem might be in my code...
Where can I find this code? Ive had a bit of html experience, but this is my first honest shake at it. Its a wordpress site if that helps.
Ive been through every wordpress file on the server. Would it be something in the .htaccess file? havent checked that one yet...

just right click and view source then look for a redirect

Try changing the files? Via FTP or file manager & try deleting the .htaccess file.

Deleting the .htaccess file? Dont I need that?
Also, I can see the htaccess in my file manager, but not with my ftp program!
