Im looking for advice on preferred places to purchase adult domain names, possibly one or more may have a reputation for grabbing them back off you or have restrictions of some sort?

How are the usuals like godaddy, namecheap etc? any suggestions and advice greatly appreciated.

I don't have any but I think the best trick is to check the whois of existing ones and see which registrar they are using :)

I wasn't sure if they had, i hear horror stories of people losing domains to the registrar and wondered if some have a problem with adult domains. :)

I doubt there is any restriction from any registrar as far as registering adult domain.

Usually the problem comes from web host, if you dont follow their TOS and if someone files a complaint.

I register all my domains from http://resellerclub.com

I think ive got myself confused with what i read in the past but i realise it was a .us domain, and there are some restricted words or something for that extension, i think the domain had tit in it or something.

There's no restrictions, you can reg it anywhere you want. If you're looking for a cheap reg, Name.com is reputable & has .com & .net for $5.99

There's no problems with .us, if it was .in or .cn or one of the other ccTLDs that don't allow adult names, then you'll have problems.

Cool, thanks htmlindex, il check out name.com, nice price too, not long ago i was reading a little and discovered that porn is illegal or close to illegal in india or they can get soft porn but its under the counter, i can definately understand the restrictions in place for certain countries.

Ive noticed that people have snapped up adult domains in .in .co.in etc, i guess they haven't done their homework first, or maybe being optimistic for the future.

LOL...that's a joke. Godaddy is NOT the most trusted, Moniker is the most trusted in the domaining industry

I always hear different opinions :) same with hosting, i guess its how well they have treated you personally so far, virtually all companies have p'd off at least a few.
