Go to Edit Preferences (http://www.digitalpoint.com/tools/keywords/?action=edit) within the keyword tracker. Sounds like you have your email address where the Google API Key should be.

go here: https://www.google.com/accounts/NewAccount?continue=http://api.google.com/createkey&followup=http://api.google.com/createkey
and fill in your e-mail and a password. Then check your mail and you should have an e-mail that looks like this only where the x's are your key will be:

Thank you for signing up for the Google Web APIs service!
Please note that your use of Google Web APIs is subject to the terms
and conditions listed below.

Your Google Web APIs license key is xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

You must include this license key with every call you make to the
Google Web APIs service. This license key entitles you to 1000 queries
per day.

If you have questions, you can join the discussion at the
google.public.web-apis Google Group or send email to
<api-support@google.com>.
