$10 Logo Contest

Hey,

I've been designing a template for a site that I'm making soon, it's going to be either a lyrics database or a tutorial database. I need a logo for the template, I'm not very good with text so I'm making this contest to try and get something that fits with the design.

Here's what I have for the template so far - Preview (http://sixpop.com/images/file/91476697.png)

Specifics

Because I haven't decided what type of website it's going to be yet, please don't do something that relates to music or tutorials.

I'm not looking for anything bulky, just something smooth, sleek and professional.

The logo will go above the blue menu so it needs to be able to fit into that space, that gives you an indicator of what size it needs to be ;)

It needs to say "Lyrication", you can use upper-case or lower-case.

A vector copy would be nice too.

Colours

You can use the blues in the menu that I've used, the black I used on the navigation menu, the colour of the yellow box and most preferably bright oranges.

I will pay $10 via Paypal, but I reserve the right not to choose a winner if I don't see something I want to use.

Esoteric - I'm not really looking for the Web 0.2 style, it's not a good style, sorry.

markyd - Not very fond on the font or the scanlines, nice colour though.

That's not what I said, I'm not doing it myself because I want something high quality and that logo is very low quality, so I could do it myself with ease.

Hey Richard.

I understand the style you are going for, it's nice. The problem is, with those suggested examples, the amount of texts allows for the whole word (i.e. teenbusinessforum) to be split into the three words, teen, business and forum.

Mate I think you are the only one that can actually make this logo, i have no clue what your looking for, the only way it gonna be perfect is if you make it. Sorry to say it but your guidelines have been followed and you don't like to much, good luck with finding a winner for $10, for someone to be this persistent must be super person :(.

They haven't been followed properly... at all, that's why I haven't seen anything I like. I've even showed my partner for the site the topic and he completely agrees that the submitted entries are nothing like the examples, sorry but that's true.

Age has nothing to do with how mature you are. I'm a perfectly good designer myself, BUT I pick at every little detail and if I create the logo myself I'll end up picking at every fault until I decide it's not good enough, even though it might be a great logo that people would have liked. That's why if someone else makes it, it will be better for me. What I want isn't non-existant, because I posted examples of what I want, it's not that hard, it's just that YOU aren't good enough to do it. I've told you not to carry on because of that, that doesn't make me immature, I'm saving you the time.

If you think your logo looks exactly the same as the example, you're a fool.
