$100 Logo Contest - NonProfit Scholarship Site

Contest
This is a competition for a logo, that can be used on a website www.beca.org (http://www.beca.org/) and also for printing.

Who & what Beca.org is:
The name beca (noun) – is a Spanish word meaning scholarship or grant.

Beca.org is a non-profit organization that provides schorlarship money to qualified & needy students to further their education. The company is unique in that they award 100% of all monies donated in scholarships.

The LOGO
The logo will be in 2 parts.

1. Type written face as seen here (http://www.crap.com/beca_logos.html) where we have a couple of illustrations of what we are trying to convey.

2. An icon picture, drawing, etc. that conveys what the organization is about.

Colors - I will leave the colors up to you but leave the option of requesting different colors in designs we consider and the one we select.

If you use different colors please remember in your designing that the logo will also be used for B&W Printing.

We would prefer the winning entry to be provided to us in .ai file but can accept any vector graphics or photoshop file.


Please post your entries in this thread. We will attempt to provide feedback to all entries on a daily basis. The contest will remain open as long as we are receiving valid entries or until we end it by selecting a winner.

Prize
The prize for the winner is $100 paid over Paypal ONLY.

Logo Rights
The winner of this competition agrees that the logo(s) created will become the ownership of Beca.org as will all rights associated with the future use of the logo/art work.

If you have any questions, please ask them in this thread and I will answer them.

All former contestants from our logo designs in the past are welcome to enter.

Crusader of the Night:

1) We want to stay with a "typewriter" typeface.

2) The graduation cap is not appropriate. Remember that we are giving scholarships to young people (high school students) in the developing world.

The winning entry will be a "simple" one.

No designated space for a tagline is necessary nor desired.
