I believe this is the best section for this post. If there is a better one, please let me know...

Is there any good alternative to adwords? Cheaper if possible?

Please only answer if you've tried and tested others.

Thank you for your input.

Three biggest PPC's are Adwords, Yahoo and MS Adcenter

1. www.adwords.google.com - Adwords
2. www.searchmarketing.yahoo.com - Yahoo
3. www.adcenter.microsoft.com - Adcenter

Adwords is the best and most effective, my opinion. Yahoo is ok, but I don't really like Adcenter

Yahoo would be ok if i find any working coupons :)
But...there is a general rule: What makes you think that if you fail on G it would be better eg. on yahoo?

You might want to check out placement targeting in conjunction with banners/images you upload. I am debating left and right whether i should write another ebook covering this :)

If you ask anyone to identify a pay per click "ppc" advertising tool they are probably going to immediately fall back on Google and Google AdWords; however, Google is far from the only search engine to operate a pay per click marketing tool.

Here are some of the others: Yahoo, ABC Search, Search Feed, 7Search, MIVA, Findology, Microsoft Ad Center, and Ask.com. All of these also offer PPC advertising. A savvy advertiser will want to step away from the well-known world of Google's Adwords, and try their advertising skills in those less common venues.

dont say "well known world of adwords" if you never used placement targeting and never used banner images on adwords.

Although..myself i am not sure about all those 2nd tier PPC programs, maybe you're right. I just figure G==Internet...so G is the first choice. I still need to see extensive proof that Y or Microsoft (or any other program) brought anyone way more revneue than eg. with Google.

Yeah.. people are so quick to put down G when they have not used it to its full potential.

Bidvertiser.com and Clicksor.com also come to mind in addition to the other links provided. Try bidvetiser first.

I also use Yahoo but I find their interface very poor compared to Adwords. However, I run the same PPC keywords on Google and Yahoo and for my market, Yahoo is about 50% cheaper in clicks.

I have used most of the engines and still find the Big3 provide the best ROI. They also have the resources to manage click fraud which some of the smaller engines dont.

It might be cheaper in clicks, but what I don't like in Yahoo that their minimum bid is $0.10, while Adwords is $0.05 and lower

I would add MIVA on the networks. You get a lot of traffic and relatively cheap!

I had used Miva and Enhance with relative good results. Enhance its better in my opinion. I had used goclick too, but my results were very poor.

Apart from Yahoo, Google rest of them have very minuscule traffic, for large advertisers who are looking at volumes of traffic the best way is spend more time on adwords as it will gurantee traffic, results if you work hard..

thats the biggest joke ever...since the only reason to switch to Y would be cheaper CPC! And i mean CONSIDERABLE cheaper..why else should i go to Y! then? Say...if i have an avg, bid for some KW of 0.20 on AW i would expect to pay a quarter of that on Y...but thats not the case!
