Does anyone remeber off hand the official google tool that figures out how much everyone is bidding on a certain keyword? Its on www.google.com somewhere, but it slipped my mind and I can't seem to find it.

Thanks in advance :)

Google Traffic Estimator - it shows you the amount of traffic that keyword receives and bid variations.

Just a word of caution, I've never found it to be right.

A guestimate, at best.

I use it as a starting point to discuss tradeoffs... if you only have $500 to spend which keywords do you want to use...one word that can burn up your entire budget or focus on 15 relevant keywords with low to moderate traffic counts and bid for 4th position. After you run those keywords and hopefully find some keywords that generate sales, you remove the keywords that dont work and add more relevant keywords. By using the LIR strategy - {Learning - Implementation - Results} you can succeed.
