Did you know that PR stands for PigeonRank, and not PageRank? While nowadays everyone refers to it as PageRank, PigeonRank was the original name of the ranking system that Google developed in 2002 I think it was.

Read it while looking through a simple Google TimeLine :P

cool, i don't think it really matters though, and Page Rank makes a lot more sense... could you imagine if everyone was going crazy over their pigeon rank, it just doesn't sound right

Yeah, I think Pigeon Rank is a better indication of its relevance, or maybe Page Prank

lol. I think a few took it for real. At first I took it for real, went into wikipedia and everything, then I went back to the page and at the end was the stupid note. I thought I was onto something :P lol.

Google uses only low-cost, off-the-street pigeons for its clusters. Gathered from city parks and plazas by Google's pack of more than 50 Phds (Pigeon-harvesting dogs), the pigeons are given a quick orientation on web site relevance and assigned to an appropriate data coop.

Got to laugh:D

In medical term, PR is "per rectal". We often say PR examination for per rectal examination.

So CheckPR might be confusing for medical professionals.

If that was the case so many webmaster would not want thier PR to go up LOL :)
